2004年、京都で結成後、JABBERLOOPでコロムビアミュージックエンターテイメントより1stアルバム『and infinite jazz...』でメジャーデビュー。 同時期にロンドンのレーベル『Mukatsuku Records』より12インチアナログ『UGETSU』をリリースし、ジャイルス・ピーターソンがイギリスBBCラジオでプレイするなど海外で大きな話題を呼ぶ。 台湾のラッパーSOFT LIPAとの共作アルバム『経典！』をリリース。収録曲『dental driller』が人気サッカーゲーム『ウイニングイレブン2011』に使用される。 2011年 アルバム『経典！』で台湾最大の音楽賞”第22届金曲奨”（台湾政府主宰、台湾版グラミー賞）にて年間ベストアルバムにノミネートされ、SOFT LIPAと共にブルーノート北京2days公演を成功させる。 2019年6月には所属レーベル『巡音彩祭』の 10周年を記念したイベントの台湾公演、香港公演に出演、同9月、JABBERLOOP初の中国大陸ワンマンツアー開催。 2023年6月に前作“CORE”から3年ぶりとなるフルアルバムをリリース。中国浙江省でのXIHU ROCK Fes.の参加をはじめ東京・大阪・名古屋・福岡ツアーを開催し、2023年9月COTTON CLUBでのツアーファイナルを開催。 2024年には台湾最大の野外フェスMegaPort Festivalから結成20周年のアニバーサルイヤーをスタート。9月18日バンドの『今』を表現したベストアルバムとしてのニューアルバム『NOW』をリリース。

PROFILE
Formed in Kyoto in 2004, JABBERLOOP made their major debut with the album and infinite jazz... on Columbia Music Entertainment. Around the same time, they released the 12-inch vinyl UGETSU on London’s Mukatsuku Records, which gained international attention after being played by Gilles Peterson on BBC Radio in the UK. They collaborated with Taiwanese rapper SOFT LIPA on the album Classic! (経典！), with the track dental driller featured in the popular soccer video game Winning Eleven 2011. In 2011, Classic! was nominated for Best Album at the 22nd Golden Melody Awards (Taiwan’s equivalent of the Grammy Awards), and together with SOFT LIPA, they successfully performed two nights at Blue Note Beijing. In June 2019, JABBERLOOP joined their label Zunon Sai Sai’s 10th anniversary events in Taiwan and Hong Kong, followed by their first headline tour in mainland China that September. In June 2023, they released a new full-length album after three years, CORE, and toured Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, and Fukuoka, including a performance at XIHU ROCK Festival in Zhejiang, China. The tour concluded with a final show at COTTON CLUB in September 2023. In 2024, JABBERLOOP celebrated their 20th anniversary year with a performance at Taiwan’s largest outdoor festival, MegaPort Festival. On September 18, they released their new album NOW, a best-of style record capturing the band’s present sound and spirit.
